Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense has issued emergency alerts for Jeddah, Mecca and Taif, warning residents of a potential hostile aerial threat. People were advised to remain calm, stay indoors or move to a safe place away from windows and doors, and follow official safety instructions. Motorists were also urged to stop in safe areas away from bridges and tall buildings. The alerts come amid renewed tensions between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi group, including reported missile and drone attacks on Saudi targets.
