Israeli Passenger Recounts Struggle to Regain Control of Flydubai Flight

An Israeli passenger, Yaniv Hayun, says he and other passengers intervened after an Omani co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain aboard a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Hayun said he pulled the suspected attacker from the cockpit and used his aviation experience to help steady the aircraft until another pilot took control. Another passenger said the group restrained the suspect and gave first aid to the injured captain. The aircraft reportedly lost altitude during the struggle before it was diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. All 174 passengers, including 27 children, later continued to Israel on another Flydubai aircraft.
