Three Remanded in Kuje Over Alleged ₦18.26m Tunde Ednut Impersonation Scam
Three men have been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre after the EFCC arraigned them before a Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged impersonation of blogger and influencer Tunde Ednut. The EFCC alleges that Raymond Charles Yafetus, Auwal Ibrahim and Babangida Yahaya Ibrahim posed as Ednut between April and June 2026. The agency says they opened bank accounts in his name and obtained ₦18,264,700 from members of the public. The defendants pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy, impersonation and obtaining money by false pretence. The court adjourned the case until November 17, 2026. Ednut is not accused of any wrongdoing, and the allegations against the defendants have not yet been proved in court.
