Hamas Probes Alleged Israeli Disguise in Abduction of Gaza Security Chief
Palestinian sources say Hamas security units are investigating the reported abduction of Muein al-Arabid, head of its Internal Security apparatus in Gaza. The sources alleged that the Israeli force posed as members of Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades and spoke fluent Arabic. Hamas personnel reportedly allowed the group through security points after they claimed to be on a special mission. Investigators are also examining claims that local collaborators, operating through a purported relief project, photographed targets before the operation. Hamas has reportedly opened an inquiry into security lapses that may have helped the force carry out the mission.
