Tanzanian Couple Arrested in Kenya Over Alleged Drugging and Robbing of Bus Passengers
Police in Mombasa, Kenya, have arrested a Tanzanian couple accused of drugging bus passengers and stealing their valuables. The case was reported after a passenger travelling from Nairobi to Mombasa allegedly lost consciousness during the journey. He later woke up in hospital and discovered that his bag and personal belongings were missing. Investigators said a search of the suspects’ home recovered the complainant’s laptop and phone, along with several other phones, wallets, watches, chargers and substances suspected to be used to drug victims. The couple remains in custody pending arraignment.
