Egbudu-Akah Residents Plead for Repair of Impassable Community Road
Residents of Egbudu-Akah Kingdom in Aniocha South LGA, Delta State, are appealing for urgent repairs to the Ekuku-Agbor–Egbudu-Akah–Ashama–Ubulu-Uno–Ogwashi-Uku road. They say the road has deteriorated into muddy, flooded sections and deep gullies, leaving vehicles and motorcycles unable to pass. According to the appeal, patients struggle to reach hospitals, children miss school during rainfall, and traders must carry goods over long distances. The community says residents and youths have repeatedly carried out self-help repairs, including clearing and grading the road, but seasonal rains wash away the work. They are calling on the Delta State Government, Aniocha South authorities and other stakeholders to intervene with a lasting road project. The residents say a passable road is vital to reconnect the agrarian community, support local businesses and improve access to essential services.
