Enugu Man Remanded Over Alleged Murder of Girlfriend

The Enugu State Police Command has arraigned a 30-year-old man over the alleged murder of his 27-year-old girlfriend in September 2026. Police said he was arrested on September 21 after being rescued from an angry mob. Following the completion of investigations, he was arraigned on October 16 and remanded in correctional custody. The case file has been ordered to the state Attorney-General through the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for review and legal advice. Police alleged that the incident followed an argument over claims of HIV infection.
