Seven people were killed after gunmen attacked Gyero community in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday night. The attackers reportedly opened fire at relaxation spots and nearby shops at about 9:30 p.m. A community youth group said the victims' bodies were taken to a mortuary. Police confirmed that an incident occurred but said the casualty figure had not yet been verified. The Plateau State Police Command said it would investigate the attack and pursue those responsible.
