Aisha Yesufu says Peter Obi’s supporters will rely on grassroots monitoring to protect their votes in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking on Arise News about lessons from the 2023 polls, she said supporters plan to station observers at polling units and follow result sheets through every stage of collation. Yesufu said she has no trust in INEC, security agencies or the judiciary to safeguard the process. She also criticised President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies, arguing that official economic claims have not reduced hardship or insecurity.
