Tinubu Says CREDICORP Will Expand Consumer Credit for Working Nigerians

President Bola Tinubu says his administration is building a credit-based economy through CREDICORP, a consumer-credit institution for working Nigerians. According to the President, access to credit could allow workers to buy household needs and pay over time. He added that small businesses could invest against expected future income. Tinubu also referenced NELFUND for student financing, while the Bank of Industry and Development Bank of Nigeria continue to provide loans to businesses.
