Taraba Ex-Lawmaker Danjuma Shiddi Quits ADC Over Political Uncertainty
Former Wukari/Ibi federal representative Danjuma Usman Shiddi has officially resigned his membership from the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In a letter dated March 18, 2026, Shiddi cited “gathering clouds of uncertainty” in the political landscape as the reason for his departure. He expressed regret at leaving and praised ADC members as “exceptional leaders,” but said his ambitions and his constituents’ interests now require a clearer path. Shiddi has asked to be removed from the party’s membership roster and forwarded copies of his resignation to key ADC and INEC officials. Despite stepping away from the party, he reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Taraba State and wished the ADC success in future endeavours.
