Man Jailed 15 Years for Exploding Device Near London ULEZ Camera

A 63-year-old man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after detonating a homemade explosive beside a ULEZ camera in south-east London. The blast damaged nearby vehicles, homes and other property, although no one was injured. The court found that the offence had a terrorism connection and ruled that the device created a serious risk to motorists, pedestrians and residents. Police said the man acted because of his opposition to London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone scheme. Officers also recovered prohibited weapons from his home, leading to additional concurrent sentences.
