Three Nigerians Remanded in South Africa Over Alleged Drug Dealing and Bribery

South African police have arrested three Nigerian men in Hendrina, Mpumalanga, over alleged drug dealing, bribery and immigration-related offences. Police said officers recovered suspected crystal meth, nyaope, ecstasy tablets, smoking pipes and cash during an intelligence-led operation. Two of the suspects were arrested in connection with the alleged drug offences. A third suspect was reportedly arrested after allegedly offering officers R1,000 as a bribe. The men appeared before the Hendrina Magistrate’s Court on September 4 and were remanded in custody pending their next appearance.
