Ikeja Electric Apologises After Band A Feeders Miss 20-Hour Supply Target
Ikeja Electric has apologised to customers on some Band A feeders after failing to provide the required minimum of 20 hours of electricity daily on November 3 and 4, 2026. The company has not identified the affected feeders or explained the cause of the shortfall in its notice. Band A customers are entitled to at least 20 hours of daily supply under the service-based tariff structure. In a separate safety advisory, the company urged residents not to trade, build or erect structures beneath or close to power lines. It warned that these areas pose serious risks to lives and property, and advised the public to maintain a safe distance from electricity infrastructure.
