Kebbi Governor’s New Media Aide Resigns, Leaves APC for ADC
Uthman M. Jibo, Special Assistant on New Media to the Kebbi State Government, has resigned from his position and left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In separate letters dated September 1 and 2, 2026, Jibo said his decisions followed deep reflection, consultations and personal considerations. He said he was acting in line with his convictions, principles and integrity. Jibo thanked APC leaders and members for the opportunities he received, describing his time in the party as a valuable political experience. His defection adds to growing conversations about opposition realignments ahead of future elections.
