Nigerian Model Rachael Ojuromi Makes Chanel Runway Debut After Viral Lagos Recreates
Nigerian model and creative director Rachael Ojuromi has made her Chanel runway debut at the French fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2027 presentation at the Grand Palais in Paris. Her journey gained global attention after she and stylist Debby Fasingha recreated Chanel Métiers d’Art looks in Lagos with thrifted clothing. Their striking visuals, including scenes shot around Yaba’s Red Line overpass, caught the attention of Chanel creative director Matthieu Blazy. The viral project helped introduce Ojuromi’s work to a wider fashion audience. She has since secured modelling representation across New York, Paris and London, turning a Lagos-based creative experiment into an international fashion milestone.
