Nigerian Man Jailed in UK for Child Sexual Abuse Material Offences
A UK court has sentenced 19-year-old Nigerian man Gift Ayoola to four years in prison for offences involving child sexual abuse material and the exploitation of children online. Cardiff Crown Court heard that he encouraged children to create sexual material, recorded some of it and distributed images through online group chats. Investigators recovered hundreds of illegal images from devices seized during his arrest. Ayoola pleaded guilty to making and distributing indecent images of children, possessing extreme pornography, and causing or inciting children to engage in sexual activity. He will remain subject to indefinite sex-offender notification requirements and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.
