PeacePro Urges African Leaders to Back UN Speeches With Stronger Action

The Foundation for Peace Professionals has urged African leaders at the United Nations General Assembly to match their calls for sovereignty, global reform and respect for international law with concrete action. The group said African governments need stronger diplomatic, economic, legal, security and institutional capacity to make their positions count. It argued that leaders should approach global affairs with clear interests and the ability to defend them. PeacePro called this approach “Speech to Action Diplomacy”. It said Africa should invest in energy, food, finance, technology, industry, defence, trade and governance to turn Agenda 2063 ambitions into measurable results.
