Fani-Kayode Demands Action as Two Nigerians Die in Johannesburg

Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called for urgent action after the deaths of Bishop Michael Taiwo Fakunle and James Uchechukwu Nwankwo in Johannesburg. Fakunle was reportedly shot dead at his Kensington residence on September 4 after two suspects allegedly entered the property. Nwankwo died a day later in an incident involving South African police officers. Fani-Kayode alleged that eight Nigerians have been killed in South Africa this year, including four deaths involving security personnel. He urged South African authorities to investigate the killings, prosecute anyone responsible and improve protection for Nigerians living in the country.
