Niger State Police Command says nine bodies were recovered along the Wawa-Luma road in Borgu Local Government Area. Police spokesperson SP Wasiu Abiodun said police and military teams were deployed after authorities received the report on Tuesday. The victims are suspected to have been killed by bandits while travelling on the road. Security operatives have evacuated the bodies and intensified clearance operations in the area, according to the command.
