Adeyanju Urges Obi and Kwankwaso to Withdraw From 2027 Race

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has challenged Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race if they want to dismiss allegations that they are working in President Bola Tinubu’s interest. Adeyanju said he would only be convinced otherwise if both opposition figures stepped aside. He argued that votes for them could ultimately benefit the incumbent president. The claims are allegations and do not establish that Obi or Kwankwaso is working for Tinubu. Kwankwaso, meanwhile, has said Obi remains a significant political challenge because of his support in southern Nigeria and possible efforts to build backing in the North.
