Rufai Oseni Warns Tinubu to Be Cautious in Alliance With Wike
Arise Television anchor Rufai Oseni has cautioned President Bola Tinubu to be careful in his political relationship with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. He argued that Wike could reveal details of any political arrangement between them if their alliance breaks down. Oseni spoke after Wike said he could face political victimisation from Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi if Tinubu does not win a second term in 2027. Wike made the remarks during a media chat in Port Harcourt. Questioning Wike’s fears, Oseni referred to allegations that, as Rivers State governor, Wike restricted Atiku’s 2023 campaign activities in the state. He said public officials who stand by their actions should not fear persecution from future political opponents.
