Mr President: Nigeria Needs Free, Fair and Accountable Elections in 2027
With all due respect, Mr President, not everything should be considered fair in politics. Nigeria needs the right environment for credible, peaceful and transparent elections in 2027. Leaders’ words carry weight, and INEC must be accountable. Politics should be about solving people’s problems through responsible, transparent and efficient use of public resources. It should empower citizens, protect their interests and help them achieve their aspirations. Our borders also need stronger security, especially around the Sahel region. Illegal and undocumented migration can be exploited by criminal networks, terrorists and unethical political actors during elections. Nigeria must protect its sovereignty while ensuring that electoral processes remain free, fair and peaceful.
