MTN Nigeria Delivers 30.6% of Group Service Revenue in H1 2026
MTN Nigeria generated R35.33 billion in service revenue in the first half of 2026, contributing 30.6% of MTN Group’s total service revenue. Its revenue grew by 25.7% year-on-year in constant currency, driven by rising data demand and subscriber growth. Nigeria also led the group in data revenue with R20.23 billion, up 38.2% in constant currency. MTN Ghana contributed R22.12 billion in service revenue, while MTN South Africa recorded R21.93 billion. Across the group, service revenue rose 17.5% in constant currency to R115.3 billion. MTN also reported growth in mobile money activity and announced a R6 billion share-buyback programme as it advances its Ambition 2030 strategy and planned IHS Holdings transaction.
