My Proposal for Targeted Fuel Subsidies and Privately Funded Federal Roads

I believe the government should allocate a set volume of crude oil to Dangote Refinery for fuel meant only for the domestic market. Subsidised petrol and diesel could be dyed green or red, while fuel for export remains clear. Customs and police officers at the borders could then identify subsidised fuel tankers by colour and reduce smuggling. I propose a minimum pump price of ₦400 per litre nationwide. Federal roads should be financed by banks and listed for public investment, with tolls used to repay investors. Vehicles carrying farm produce, medicines and ambulances should be exempted from toll charges.
