Anambra Police Promise Tight Security for Saturday’s LG Elections
Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Nnanna Oji Ama, says the command has put security measures in place for Saturday’s local government elections. The commissioner inspected police stations in Awka and assessed officers’ readiness during an observation patrol. He said personnel would be deployed strategically to protect voters, property and critical infrastructure. He urged residents, political parties and candidates to obey the law and avoid actions that could disrupt the election. Officers were also directed to remain professional, politically neutral and respectful of citizens’ rights.
