2027 Election: Meet Nigeria’s 10 Youngest Presidential Candidates
INEC’s final list for the January 16, 2027 presidential election includes 18 candidates, with several younger contenders seeking to challenge more established politicians. Moses Olusoji Adebisi of the Democratic Liberty Alliance, aged 35, is the youngest candidate on the ballot. He is followed by Labour Party candidate Sunday Chibuizu Okereke and National Rescue Movement candidate Nkem Esther Okereke, both aged 43. Other candidates on the list include Abbas-Bin Aliyu, 44; Ada Elizabeth Frederick Okwori, 48; Sunday Adenuga, 52; Yusuf Kabiru, Peter Ada Agada and Adewole Adebayo, all 54; and Omoyele Sowore, 55. The age range highlights the contrast between newer contenders and veteran candidates such as Atiku Abubakar, 79, and President Bola Tinubu, 74.
