Peter Obi Says Drug Importers Should Face Life Imprisonment if He Becomes President

Peter Obi said anyone convicted of importing hard drugs into Nigeria should face life imprisonment if he becomes president in 2027. Speaking at a town hall meeting in Kaduna, he said drug abuse had harmed many young Nigerians. He also urged political parties and candidates to make realistic promises and engage directly with citizens on their concerns. Obi added that he would spend his annual holidays within Nigeria, using the period to visit communities affected by insecurity and other challenges.
