Gilmore Says Kai Cenat Used a Similar Boarding School Content Idea

Nigerian skit maker Muhammed Gilmore says he created the idea for his boarding-school series in 2022, before American streamer Kai Cenat later made similar content. He made the claim during an interview, while discussing his journey as a creator. Gilmore also shared details of a major financial setback. He said he invested nearly ₦100 million in a project but recovered only ₦450,000, leaving him broke at the time. He recalled trying to get Davido's attention by stopping the singer's convoy, as well as a difficult period at the University of Lagos that became a personal turning point. Gilmore said internal growth should come before the pursuit of money.
