Anambra First Lady Urges Men to Speak Up on Mental Health

As June marks Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, Anambra State’s First Lady, Nonye Soludo, is calling on men to open up about their emotional challenges. She highlighted how cultural expectations often pressure men to “carry their burdens in silence” and stressed that true strength lies in seeking support, speaking up, and prioritising mental care. Mrs Soludo emphasised that caring for the mind is as vital as caring for the body and thanked men who lead and provide for their families. She urged the creation of safe spaces where men can share without fear of judgment.
