Bauchi Police Arrest Suspects Over Firearm Fabrication and Alleged Rape
Bauchi State Police Command says it has arrested three suspects in Misau Local Government Area over the alleged possession and fabrication of firearms. Police said officers intercepted a man with a locally made pistol and live cartridge near a court in Misau. Investigators alleged that the weapon belonged to another suspect, who named a welder as its maker. Two dane guns and tools said to be used for gun fabrication were reportedly recovered from the welder’s workshop. In a separate case, police arrested a 26-year-old man after a complaint that he allegedly lured a 50-year-old woman living with mental illness to an isolated area in Gamawa and assaulted her. The woman was taken to General Hospital, Gamawa, for medical examination. All suspects are in custody, while the cases have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
