Ondo Police Launch Manhunt After Gunmen Kidnap Nine-Year-Old Boy
The Ondo State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a group of armed men who abducted a nine-year-old boy from Ugbosi Quarters in Idogun, Ose Local Government Area. According to reports, the gunmen stormed the community around 1:30 a.m., firing shots and forcing their way into homes. One resident escaped into nearby bushes but his son, Victor, was seized during the attack. Another neighbour narrowly avoided harm when the assailants damaged his door in a bid to gain entry. He managed to flee before they could abduct anyone else. Police, working with the Amotekun Corps and local vigilante teams, are combing forests and likely escape routes to rescue the child and apprehend the suspects. Residents are urged to stay vigilant and share any information with security agencies.
