Enugu Police Arrest Two Suspects, Recover Stolen Keke, Motorcycle and POS Machine
Enugu State Police Command says it arrested two suspected thieves in separate operations in Nkanu West and New Haven, recovering a stolen tricycle, an unregistered motorcycle and other items. Police said a 24-year-old suspect was arrested in Akpugo on September 9 with a motorcycle reportedly stolen in Obuno-Akpugo. In a separate operation, another suspect was arrested near WAEC Bus Stop, Independence Layout, with a tricycle allegedly stolen from a church earlier that day. He has reportedly been arraigned and remanded. Residents also alerted police to suspected thieves in the New Haven area on September 3. The suspects fled, abandoning two bags containing 112 wrappers and 29 handbags, alongside a POS machine and heavy-duty cable cutter. The recovered wrappers and handbags were identified and returned to their owners. The command said it is working to arrest the fleeing suspects and prosecute those linked to the alleged thefts.
