Sometimes the Biggest Obstacle to Business Growth Is the Owner

I have been reflecting on my business journey and facing an uncomfortable truth: sometimes, I have been the biggest obstacle to the growth I wanted. It was not because I lacked ambition or refused to work hard. I made risky decisions without properly calculating the consequences. I bought stock without considering how quickly it would sell, used business money for personal needs, and borrowed for opportunities without fully weighing the pressure of repayment. I have also continued with ideas I knew were not working. As a business owner, there is often no one to correct poor decisions for you. Bad choices, weak financial discipline, poor cash-flow control and a lack of systems can make the business suffer. I am still learning. Building a bigger business may not always require more capital. Sometimes it requires better decisions, stronger discipline, reliable systems and the humility to admit that I need to change first.
