Bandits Kill 10 Mobile Police Officers, Two Civilians in Kebbi Gun Battle

Ten officers of the 44 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Abuja, were reportedly killed after armed bandits attacked Makuku village in Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State. A police situation report said the officers were on special duty in the area and engaged the attackers in a gun battle. Two civilians were also killed, while another resident sustained serious gunshot injuries and was taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Birnin Kebbi. The bodies of the officers and civilians were evacuated to General Hospital, Dirin Daji, where they were confirmed dead. The attackers reportedly seized an RPG rifle, two riot guns, 10 AK-47 rifles and ammunition from the security team.
