AYF Urges Northern Youths to Reject Vote-Selling and Demand Plans for Jobs, Security

The Arewa Youth Forum has urged young Nigerians, especially in the North, to vote according to their conscience in the 2027 general elections. The group cited worsening insecurity, rising living costs and unemployment as major concerns. In a communiqué issued after an emergency meeting in Kaduna, the forum said many communities have been displaced and farming and schooling have become unsafe in parts of the country. It also said unreliable and costly electricity is hurting youth-owned businesses, including salons, welding shops, cold rooms and ICT hubs. The forum urged youths to obtain their PVCs, reject vote-selling and protect their votes during the election process. It called on voters to demand clear plans on security, jobs, education and reliable electricity from every candidate.
