Flood Destroys Homes and Farmlands in Ebonyi Community

Residents of Akaeze in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State are counting losses after flooding destroyed homes, farmlands and other property. The federal lawmaker representing Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo said he had contacted emergency and government agencies for support. He donated ₦4 million and 500 cartons of noodles, while the state Commissioner for Infrastructure also donated ₦4 million. One widow said her home was completely destroyed and she has nowhere to sleep. Another resident said the flood washed away his crops and left his family dependent on relatives.
