Subsidy Debate and Lagos–Calabar Route Questions Leave Tinubu Supporters Under Pressure
It is hard to imagine a worse weekend for supporters who defended the subsidy removal policy for years. The policy debate has returned sharply, especially as many Nigerians continue to face rising living costs. I am also concerned by questions around the Lagos–Calabar highway project and reports that its route may now affect Ogun State. Supporters who previously dismissed criticism of the project now have fresh questions to answer. For me, the shifting narratives and lack of clear accountability have made this a difficult moment for BAT supporters.
