Teenager’s Body Found in UI Swimming Pool as Police Open Murder Probe
The Oyo State Police Command has launched a murder investigation after the body of a 14–15-year-old boy was discovered floating in the University of Ibadan swimming pool early Thursday. According to the state police spokesperson, detectives found blood at the scene and slight bruises on the victim’s face. A shirt, a pair of shoes and bloodstains were also recovered near the pool pavilion. The body was taken to Adeoyo General Hospital, where he was confirmed dead on arrival and later moved to the mortuary. The police urge the public to stay calm and avoid sharing unverified information while the inquiry continues.
