NDLEA Arrests KC Luxury Over Alleged ₦39bn Cocaine Trafficking Cartel
The NDLEA says it has dismantled an international cocaine trafficking cartel and arrested Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as KC Luxury, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. The agency said 184.5kg of cocaine, allegedly worth about ₦39 billion, was intercepted through a courier logistics channel in Lagos. Investigators reportedly traced the consignment to a network that moved drugs from South America through Nigeria to the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia. According to the NDLEA, KC Luxury was arrested on 13 August while allegedly attempting to board a flight to Paris. The agency said foreign currencies, jewellery and vehicles were recovered during follow-up operations. The case remains subject to investigation and court proceedings.
