The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has trained youths and women in Ile-Ife, Osun State, and provided them with work equipment under its Sustainable Empowerment Programme. The three-day programme, held from August 7 to 9, 2026, covered drone operations and photography, shoemaking, CCTV and solar/inverter installation, and tailoring. Beneficiaries also received tools and accessories to help them start or expand businesses. NASENI said the initiative is designed to move beyond issuing certificates by giving participants practical skills and resources that can create jobs and sustainable incomes. The agency said the programme supports its wider effort to build capacity in technology, renewable energy, agriculture, ICT and engineering.
