Davido, Bashir Ahmad Trade Jabs Over Osun Election and Grammy Nominations
Davido and former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad exchanged barbs on X over the reported freezing of Osun State Government bank accounts by the EFCC. Davido said he witnessed President Bola Tinubu speak with Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, his uncle, about the matter. Ahmad responded by urging him to accept the outcome of the August 15 governorship election. Davido then referenced Ahmad’s House of Representatives primary result, while Ahmad pointed to Davido’s five Grammy nominations without a win. Davido replied that his success goes beyond awards, citing his global reach, sold-out shows and streaming numbers.
