Dino Melaye Threatens Lawsuit Over Adedeji’s Alleged Tinubu Campaign Fundraising Role

Former senator Dino Melaye says he will challenge President Bola Tinubu’s campaign council appointments in court over the alleged inclusion of Dr Zacch Adedeji, chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, as Deputy Director of Fundraising. Melaye argued that the role could create a conflict of interest because Adedeji heads an agency responsible for collecting public revenue. He said public officials should remain bound by civil service rules. The APC campaign council list has sparked online criticism, with some Nigerians expressing concern that public funds could be linked to the president’s re-election campaign. Melaye says he plans to file the case on Monday.
