The Ogun State Waste Management Authority, working with Environmental Health Officers in Sagamu Local Government, has arrested a woman seen in a viral video dumping refuse into a drainage channel. The video reportedly showed her carrying a yellow sack of waste and emptying it into the drain while it was raining. The agency said she was apprehended after the footage circulated online. OGWAMA urged Ogun residents to avoid indiscriminate waste disposal and use accredited waste collection operators. It warned that keeping drains clear is a shared responsibility, especially during the rainy season.
