Tambuwal Denies Plans to Return to APC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Former Sokoto State Governor and Senator Aminu Tambuwal has dismissed reports that he plans to leave the African Democratic Congress for the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections. His media adviser said the speculation was false, stressing that meetings or exchanges with politicians from other parties should not be interpreted as negotiations to defect. Tambuwal, who moved from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ADC in March 2026, is said to be focused on strengthening the opposition party and mobilising supporters ahead of the elections.
