‘Stand Up, Speak Up’: Mawuko Area CDC Hosts Youth Seminar on Bullying-Free Generation
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, the Mawuko Area Community Development Committee of Alayo Zone held a Youth Development Seminar at Atoku Football Playing Ground, Abeokuta. Under the theme “Stand Up, Speak Up: Building a Bullying-Free Generation,” it brought together students, teachers, parents, and community leaders. Speakers addressed drug and sexual abuse, youth safety, crime prevention, and moral discipline. Chief Engr. Adeoye Adekunle and Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab highlighted causes, consequences, and prevention strategies. A panel of security and community representatives explored the roles of families, schools, and law enforcement. The event featured a special sensitization by NDLEA officers and a collective Youth Pledge Against Bullying and Social Vices. Alhaji Muideen Kalejaye received a Community Icon Award for his leadership, inspiring applause from participants. Local schools and community associations provided resources and support.
