Mossimo Giannulli: Fashion Career, College Admissions Scandal and Personal Life
Mossimo Giannulli is an American fashion designer who founded the youth clothing brand Mossimo in 1986. The brand grew rapidly in its early years, later expanded its product range and entered a major licensing deal with Target before being acquired by Iconix Brand Group in 2006. Giannulli also became widely known for the 2019 US college admissions scandal. He and his wife, actress Lori Loughlin, admitted to paying $500,000 to have their daughters presented as rowing recruits for admission to the University of Southern California. He was sentenced to five months in prison, fined $250,000 and later completed supervised release. He has three children and was married to Loughlin from 1997. Reports in 2025 said the couple had separated, while a 2026 filing indicated that Loughlin had sought a divorce. His net worth has been estimated at between $5 million and $10 million.
