Mobile Money Agent Kills Suspected Robber in Lashibi Shootout
Police in Lashibi recovered GH¢140,000 and an AK-47 rifle after a violent attack on a mobile money vendor. On 3 July 2026, two armed men on a motorbike opened fire on the vendor’s vehicle, seized a bag containing GH¢140,000 and tried to escape. The vendor returned fire during the getaway, fatally wounding one attacker on the spot. Officers recovered the stolen cash and the suspect’s weapons. A nationwide manhunt is under way for the second suspect as the Accra Regional Police Command continues its investigation.
