Peter Obi Criticises Tinubu’s Foreign Holidays, Urges Presidents to Vacation in Nigeria

Peter Obi says Nigeria’s president should spend holidays within the country rather than abroad. He argued that presidential visits and vacations should include states facing insecurity and other major challenges. In an interview, Obi criticised President Bola Tinubu’s short visits to places such as Plateau and Benue states. He said a president should spend time meeting stakeholders and discussing solutions to killings, poor roads, power shortages and other local concerns. Obi added that, if elected president, he would travel abroad for official visits but would take his holidays in Nigeria.
