Otu Disburses ₦450m First Lady Support Fund to 18 SPAR Calabar Fire Victims

Cross River Governor Bassey Otu has presented ₦25 million cheques to each of 18 business owners affected by the recent fire at the SPAR shopping mall in Calabar. The ₦450 million intervention was provided by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. Presenting the cheques in Calabar, Otu described the support as a lifeline for victims working to rebuild their businesses and recover from the losses caused by the fire. He said the state would continue to support small and medium-sized enterprises through advisory services, soft loans and grants. Representatives of SPAR and the beneficiaries said the funds would help affected businesses return to productive activity and restore their livelihoods.
